       Zhuhai Sandbox Network is a startup founded in 2015. The company’s vision is to build a global game UGC platform, helping ordinary players turn their creativity into games. It has released highly representative products including Blockman GO. Currently, the number of registered players worldwide has exceeded 50 million.

     In recent years, there has been a significant and steady increase in the number of game users on the sandbox network. The previous architecture can no longer effectively handle the traffic brought by the business. As a product highly sensitive to network latency, games have high requirements for the underlying infrastructure. The main problems are reflected in:

• The high game latency, difficult login, frequent disconnection, etc. brought about by cross – border game services all undermine the user experience.
• The cross – regional and cross – operator network environment is complex, and the routing table is redundant and cumbersome.
• The risks of various security incidents, including zero-day vulnerabilities, user privacy data breaches, SQL injection, weak passwords, DDoS attacks, etc.

Description of the solution architecture

• Armor can provide enterprise – level DDoS protection functions and can prevent layer 3 and layer 4 DDoS attacks. Through deep integration with the HTTP load balancer, the security of the entire access layer is greatly enhanced.
• CloudCDN uses Anycast IP technology to enable users around the world to quickly access the Google network. This significantly reduces the network latency for users to access applications and greatly improves the user experience. Static files can be distributed to users anytime and anywhere through Cloud CDN.
• VPC enables access to the Google network across all regions, minimizing downtime during migration, reducing network infrastructure costs, and ensuring that customers can utilize your resources more flexibly. The network covers over 200 countries and regions, has 35 regions and 103 availability zones, and achieves an uptime of 99.99%.

• Cloud Load Balancing can adjust as the number of users and traffic grows. By redirecting traffic to other regions around the world that can receive it, it can easily handle huge and unexpected spikes in traffic. It can scale up from zero to the required capacity in just a few seconds. When combined with CDN, it provides an excellent experience for users worldwide.
• Migrate massive amounts of data to Cloud Storage and perform integrity checks on the data migrated to Cloud Storage to ensure consistency before and after the data migration. By adopting this approach, the data migration speed is significantly improved, and with the global network of GCP, the access latency for global users is further reduced.
• The scalability of Cloud Compute Engine Instances enables the business to automatically scale up or down physical resources during peak and trough periods, optimizing resource utilization. Additionally, through the dynamic management of resources, the manual intervention in operations and maintenance is significantly reduced, and the overall usage cost is also well optimized, with at least a 30% reduction in computing costs. 
• BigQuery, a serverless enterprise data warehouse with high scalability and low cost, enables all your data analysts to work more efficiently. It provides a query method using native SQL syntax. Through various combinations, it offers rich data analysis features, functions, and tools, greatly enhancing the capabilities of data services.
• Logs are an important means of fault tracing and business data analysis. The sandbox network uses Cloud Logging to quickly find system failures.
• Cloud SQL is a cloud product natively compatible with MySQL. By using the DMS service, it is very convenient and fast to migrate databases from local or other clouds to GCP.
• MemoryStore for Redis is a fully compatible product with Redis. Since it stores data entirely in memory, its performance and speed far exceed those of relational databases.

Therefore, by adopting the solution architecture of Load Balancing + CDN and prewarming and caching large files in advance to the service nodes, we help customers solve the problems of a high resource back-to-source rate and a low hit rate. After migrating to GCP, the cache hit rate of customers has reached as high as 99.92%.
